The Connectivity Standards Alliance is pleased to announce the release of Matter 1.1. Today’s release is a result of the collective effort of thousands of individuals who have gathered as Alliance members and contributed to this evolving technology's ongoing progress and success, offering an improved path forward for developers and new user experiences.
Matter's 1.1 update makes it easier for device makers and developers to get started with Matter and to get the products they've developed certified more easily and in users' hands. We've also enhanced support for battery-operated devices — a key feature across many smart home categories.
